FM Finance Ltd.
Anti-slavery statement

Last revision date is 20th March 2025 - Version 3.0
Policy:

Modern slavery is any form of, forced or compulsory labour, servitude, bonded and child labour. Human trafficking, a sub-category of modern slavery, is where a person exploited, forced, threatened or deceived into providing labour, usually across borders but it can also occur within the same community. Modern slavery and human trafficking are crimes and violation of fundamental human rights.

FM Finance Ltd. is committed to protecting human rights and to the fair and ethical treatment of all persons. We strictly forbid any use of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and in our supply chain. We expect that our customers, our suppliers and third-party affiliates, wherever they are domiciled, will also implement this standard.

Risk:

We are aware that modern slavery and human trafficking can affect several areas of our business including outsourced services, cleaning services, corporate hospitality, recruitment through agencies and even the clients that we provide services to. Our audits (external and internal) will consider these risks in their assessments.

Responsibilities:

Company owners are responsible for setting the ethical foundation of our institution, ensuring that anti-slavery commitments are embedded in corporate governance and strategic decision-making. By maintaining a culture of transparency and accountability, they provide oversight to prevent any direct or indirect financial involvement in modern slavery.

Senior managers are responsible for implementing and enforcing policies that detect and prevent slavery and human trafficking risks within the FM Finance Ltd’s operations. They oversee due diligence processes, ensuring that risk assessments are conducted for financial transactions, partnerships, and supply chains. Their role includes providing training and awareness to employees so they can identify and report suspicious activities linked to exploitation.

All employees and associates must uphold our commitment to human rights by conducting business with integrity and vigilance. They are required to report any concerns related to forced labor, suspicious financial activity, or unethical business practices that may facilitate modern slavery.

Our suppliers must operate in full compliance with labor laws and anti-slavery regulations. We require all vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure that their supply chains are free from exploitation, forced labor, or child labor.

As financial service providers, we expect our customers to conduct business ethically and responsibly. Transactions processed through our gateway must not be linked to forced labor, human trafficking, or illegal exploitation. We conduct due diligence to monitor for suspicious activities and reserve the right to suspend services for any customer found to be engaging in or facilitating modern slavery practices.

Direct Steps we take:

All staff must be eligible to work in the UK and will only be offered employment after we have verified this. They will be given a written contract of employment and will not be asked to pay any direct or indirect fees to obtain work. Information will be provided to all employees on their statutory rights including sick pay, holiday pay, and any other benefits they be entitled to.

Third party due diligence processes:

We diligently review all third parties before we contract with them, and we will not contract with a person or company that engages in, or is associated with, modern slavery or human trafficking.

If we later find that our employees or contractors have breached this policy we will ensure that we take appropriate action. This may range from working with the offender to remediate the breach or terminating such relationships where deemed necessary, and reporting the offence to the relevant Authorities where criminal acts are identified.

The prevention, detection and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our organisation or supply chain is the responsibility of all those working for us or on our behalf. Workers must not engage in, facilitate or fail to report any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this policy.

Training on modern slavery and trafficking:

We govern the risk of modern slavery and trafficking through our Audit and Risk Committee and we raise awareness through this statement on our website, and by providing resources to our employees and contractors to help identify the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking. In addition, it is the responsibility of all our senior managers and directors listen to employees and remain alert to indicators of human slavery.

Please contact us here if you wish to report any suspicion of modern slavery or human trafficking within our organisation.
